Incidentally I do get sound from other programs (including a scoring program). My machine is Windows 10 with Intel i5 6200U.Īpologies if I am just doing something stupid. I am therefore attaching a zipped version of the VSTAudioEngine_64 as suggested. However when i click on the piano keyboard I don’t see any VU meters lighting up and I don’t get any sound. I’ve then gone through the process of setting up a project with solo piano - and I get “YAMAHA S90ES Piano” in the Multi Program Rack. To be specific, I have tried looking in the Device Setup: when I click on Device Control Panel I get “Microphone array (RealTek High Definition Audio)”. I have looked through the “Frequently asked questions: try this thread first”, and have gone through the steps under “I get no playback. I’m aware that there are issues with Dorico and RealTek Audio devices, but as far as I can see this in the context of Dorico crashing, which is not the case for me - it’s just the lack of sound. Likewise, the crossover frequency is selected in a way that the bundling resulting from the diameter of the membrane is equivalent to that of the mid-high frequency horn.I have a problem in that I get no playback from Dorico - this is with RealTek High Definition Audio. In the transition to the low-mid frequency membrane, the sound signal is electronically delayed and phase corrected in such a way that the main inclined radiation axis is sustained over a wide frequency range. The energy of the high-frequency driver is formed in a waveguide with varying path lengths to a vertically curved line, which is then radiated by the, in front of the waveguide positioned horn, with a width of 120° in the lower part and 60° in the upper part.

Several acoustic principles were combined in order to achieve this. There are two significant differences in comparison to common loudspeakers: firstly, the horizontal dispersion angle varies depending on the vertical angle, and secondly, the major part of the sound energy is radiated downward in a curved wavefront towards the audience, and not towards the walls or the ceiling. Thanks to the innovative HDSP principle, an almost rectangular room segment can be evenly supplied with sound energy. Conversely, this means that such loudspeakers must be aligned very precisely in the direction of the audience in order to avoid negative reflections. The purpose is to ensure that even in rooms with heavy reflections, a sufficiently high proportion of direct sound reaches the audience, thereby enhancing audibility. Public address loudspeakers distinguish themselves through a more or less directional dispersion of a broadest possible frequency range.
